He established his garden design business in 1994 after working as a professional artist in Europe.

 

Jamie has been based in Wellington since 2001 and has enjoyed commissions from steep town gardens, to windy Kapiti coast gardens to Wairarapa lifestyle blocks.  Commissions are undertaken in New Zealand, the UK and abroad.

 

Jamie is a fully accredited member of Landscaping New Zealand (LIANZ).

 

Jamie's design philosophy centres on the harmonious integration of the house with the garden and the garden with its surroundings, via the sympathetic and creative use of plants and materials appropriate to each site. Close liaison with the client and an enthusiastic attitude ensures this approach is applied to all Jamie's work be it a town, country, native or ornamental garden.
